Our dedicated team has extensive experience in designing, implementing and monitoring complex evaluation projects.  This includes, but is not limited to, more than 20 Georgia 21st Century Community Learning Center projects (funded by the Georgia Department of Education) involving 53 after school/summer sites and over 83 after school/summer programs supported by a variety of other funding sources.

 

Middle Georgia Safe Schools/Healthy Students (SS/HS) Initiative: 

The comprehensive cross-site evaluation process involved longitudinally tracking  and reporting the outcomes associated with 12,035 students enrolled in the Bleckley, Johnson, Tattnall and Telfair County School Systems during the five year funding period ending June 30, 2012.  This involved documenting a total of 387,829 individual level student contacts, 29,541 individual level parent contacts and 10,974 individual level staff contacts. Funder: U.S. Department of Education in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and U.S. Department of Justice.  Note:  Norris Consulting Group also has evaluated four other federally funded SS/HS projects in Georgia.

 

Rural Georgia Abstinence Education Initiative (Community-Based Abstinence Education Program Grant): 
The comprehensive cross-site evaluation process involved longitudinally tracking and reporting the outcomes associated with 14,088 students enrolled in the Berrien, Dodge, Johnson, Tattnall and Turner County School Systems during a four year funding period ending September 30, 2012.  Funder:  U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families.

 

South Georgia Regional Alcohol Abuse Prevention Initiative (Grant to Reduce Alcohol Abuse): 

The comprehensive cross-site evaluation process involved tracking 2,400 high school students enrolled in the Berrien, Dodge and Turner County School Systems.  One of the mandatory components in each county was the addition of content related broadcast video, journalism and drama classes at the local high school with the participating students.  The three year grant period ended September 30, 2012.  Funder: U.S. Department of Education.

 

South Georgia Regional Prevention Coalition (Drug Free Communities Support Program Grant): 

The comprehensive cross-site evaluation process involved tracking and reporting the outcomes associated with the middle and high school students enrolled in Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Tattnall, Telfair, Toombs and Wilcox County School Systems during a five year funding period that ended September 30, 2012.  Funder:  U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

 

Middle Georgia Regional Mentoring Coalition (Mentoring Program Grant): 

The comprehensive cross-site evaluation process involved tracking and reporting the outcomes associated with more than 215 students enrolled in the Bleckley, Dodge, Johnson, Turner, Toombs (and Vidalia City) and Wilcox County School Systems during the two year funding period ending March 31, 2010.  Funder:  U.S. Department of Education.
